Elaine King, MBA, CFP®, CDFA™, CFBA, ACC, founded Family and Money Matters™ to empower families through their financial and human capital. She has served as the Financial Planner for over 1,200 families and 100 multigenerational enterprises, creating actionable financial plans.

Elaine champions financial education, pioneering the first family financial program in LATAM and earning the Best Latin Book Award. Recognized as Investopedia’s Top 10 Financial Advisor in 2023 and among People Magazine’s Top 25 Influential Hispanic Women in 2017, her expertise appears in WSJ, Forbes, Telemundo and CNN. She contributes as a columnist in US and LATAM financial journals.

Raised in Peru during economic and political turmoil, Elaine’s global journey included living in Canada, Mexico, Austria, Japan and the United States, enriching her understanding of diverse cultures. Leaving home at 17, she navigated New York City and graduated college in three years.

Elaine advanced in top financial institutions, specializing in advising international families on robust financial strategies while establishing her foundation. Today, she provides expertise in financial planning, workshops and asset alignment, collaborating with families to design tailored solutions for their future.
